FIT@PRC is a corporate fitness facility located on the Pacific Research Center's campus at 7677 Gateway Blvd., second floor, in Newark, CA. It is open to employees working on the campus, it is not open to the public.

Closed For Martin Luther King Day

We will not be open or have outdoor classes Monday, January 18th, in recognition of Martin Luther King Day.

New Guidelines For Outdoor Classes

First, participants will be ten feet apart rather than six feet. And second, you must wear a mask at all times, even when exercising. We are on it.

Hi, I'm Mark Director of F.I.T.@PRC. Our facility may be closed to members but I'm here daily to conduct outdoor classes, answer any questions you may have on the gym reopening and run any special programs like our '21 Sweet Challenge' below.  Or maybe you may just want to talk to me about exercise and nutrition.

Come Join our '21 Day Sweet Challenge'!

Begin your New Year on the right foot with the ’21 Day Sweet Challenge’!

What?

The ’21 Day Sweet Challenge’ is a program to help you eliminate added sugars from your daily routine. Meetings will address things like how to find hidden sugars, strategies for cutting back on sugar, best sugar substitutes and include Q&A with group discussion.

When?

The program starts with a Zoom orientation on Thursday, January 14th at 10am then Zoom meetings on the 21st, 28th with the closing meeting on Feb. 4th (all Thursdays). All meetings are at 10am. If you can’t make one, no worries, we will send you a recording of it.

How?

Just send an email to mark@fitprc.com and say that you want to sign up and Mark will confirm your spot and send you the Zoom invitations as well as the handouts to that email address.

Cost?

This is the sweetest part of all. It’s FREE! That is to all those who work for a company located on the PRC campus.

Note: Though we are now offering outdoor classes, the gym itself is still not open. This means no shower or locker room use at this time. That said, some buildings on campus have their own showers and even lockers. Also, you need to bring your own towel to class. Hope to see you there!

F.I.T@PRC NOW HAS OUTDOOR CLASSES!

 BODYSHRED

FIT@PRC will be teaching Jillian Micheals BODYSHRED classes on the outdoor basketball court at 8:00am and again at 9:00am. starting Oct. 5th. These morning classes will be held at those times on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

BODYSHRED is a 30 min. workout that is mostly body weight exercises with some dumbbell work as well. This class will train your core, cardio and strength. An awesome conditioning workout!


Disinfected mats and dumbbells will be provided. Please bring your own workout towel. Also be aware tat there is no locker room access at FIT@PRC for changing. You can sign up for a class on by clicking on 'class sign up' link below.


Exercise spaces will be socially distanced. You do not need to wear a mask while exercising but will need one for when you step out of your exercise space.

Tabata

FIT@PRC will be teaching Tabata classes on the outdoor basketball court at 12::00pm and again  1:00pm. These classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays

Tabata is a 30 min. bodyweight program that involves 20 seconds of high effort followed by 10 seconds of rest. There are four different circuits to cover your core, cardio and strength. A terrific HIIT workout!


Disinfected mats and dumbbells will be provided. Please bring your own workout towel. Also be aware tat there is no locker room access at FIT@PRC for changing. You can sign up for a class on by clicking on 'class sign up' link below.

HIT Fit

F.I.T.@PRC will be holding HIT Fit classes on the outdoor basketball courts at 3:00pm and then again at 4:00pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Starts Oct. 20.


Hit Fit is a bodyweight and dumbbell program that involves intervals of 1 minute of work then 15 seconds of rest. There are three different circuits each lasting 10 minutes for 30 minutes total work along with 5 min. warm up and 5 min. cool down makes this full body workout 40 min. total. A great full body athletic workout!

Free to Members of F.I.T.@PRC!

We now have access to Mobius Fit's online classes. If you didn't know, Mobius Fit is an awesome fitness center in Redwood City that operates F.I.T.@PRC. They have now opened their online fitness class library to our members. Just click on the link below for Conditioning, Yoga, Boot Camp and Movement Method classes. The site asks for a donation, but you have no need to. We got you covered. Now, get fit online!
